Whimsical Lipstick - £8 Topshop (link)

Yet another product which I mentioned in my monthly favourites, you will no doubt have seen this lipstick mentioned on other blogs and I thought as its a pretty much "me" shade I'd pick it up once I got my student discount card. Topshop describe this as a pinky nude, however I would have to say its leans more to the coral side than nude. Apparently all of Topshop lipsticks are matte formula, however don't compare them to the matte formula of Mac lipsticks as Topshop lipsticks are really moisturising on the lips.

Normally when I apply this I always buff my lips beforehand with my Lush Bubblegum lipscrub to make sure there is no dry skin on my lips. Personally I find if you lightly cover your lips with foundation or concealer (don't go ott mind) the colour pay off is much better and its easier to apply. This is an ideal day-night lipstick, although for where I work, its not work appropriate. The only downside with this is that is only lasts just over an hour (providing I'm not drinking anything) and then I have to reapply. Also like all Topshop makeup packaging this will go grubby in your make up bag. I'm officially a Topshop make up convert now- I've got my eye on Crescent Moon highlighter.
