MAC Face and Body Foundation - £21.50 (link)

Foundation, foundation, foundation. Personally even though it hides a multitude of sins, I honestly can't understand how/why people can go out and buy a 1001 bottles of foundation. Normally I stick to two foundations - Mac Studio Sculpt (for when I'm tanned) and Boots 17 Skin Perfecting (untanned). Now this may have slightly changed since buying Laura Mercier Silk Crème foundation however the point is I only really wear foundation on nights out.

With the majority of foundations containing SPF, the major downside to this is flashback face on photos - especially on nights out. Now I knew MAC's Face and Body doesn't contain SPF so I decided to buy the smaller (50ml) bottle to see if this would work on nights out. Face and Body is a light-medium coverage foundation which like the name suggests can be used on your body as well as face and can be built up. Normally when tanned I'm NW25 and I was matched to N5 which was slightly lighter than NW25 (personally I'd rather go lighter than darker). Its worth noting the above swatch is on untanned skin.

Am I a fan of this?? Not really - I find that even though its very watery I have to quickly work it into my skin and then it still feels like it sits on top of my skin. I know my cousin Maxine mixes this with other foundations for it to work on her skin, however I feel like this defeats the purpose of the foundation. Best thing about this foundation is the fact that it does stop flashback face on nights out and provides a brilliant breathable level of foundation, yet the fact that it feels like film on the skin is too much for me I'm afraid.
