Michel Mercier Detangling Brush - £14.95 Feel Unique (link)
You know when you see a product raved about so much on blogs and in magazines and you have nothing but high hopes for it, but in reality its anything but. As my beloved Tangle Teezer is starting to die a slow and painful death I thought that I would try Michel Mercier Detangling Brush as an alternative. I’ve already tried using Tor’s and thought it worked well on detangling my hair. Now I don’t know what’s happened between June and December last year but the brush refuses to work with my hair.
It doesn’t detangle it, it really hurts my scalp when using, and makes my hair really static. I honestly don’t know what’s happened with this, but instead of reaching for this when I’m doing my hair – I’m still reaching for my battered Tangle Teezer. Considering the price of this, I’m not going to lie but I’m quite disappointed by this and wouldn’t recommend. It could be due to the fact that I should have bought the version for fine hair, however considering Tor has the same brush which didn’t hurt or cause my hair to be static – you wouldn’t expect this. I know Macadamia do a similar brush so it might be worth trying that next. However what I have learnt is never believe the hype around products and always take everything with a pinch of salt.
