Look at this beaut in all its shiny glory!! You know when some items are that high end and scream luxury it pains you to use it - that's how I feel towards Dior's Artistry Pallete in Amber Design. However rest assured I have been using this palette. If you're going on holiday or travel a lot these palettes from Dior will be an absolute life saver. Instead of having to take different shadows and liners away from you - everything you need for numerous looks, from day to night is in the one palette. Plus as it comes with its own protective case it will be protected from any knocks and scratches in your handbag or make up bag.
Onto the shades itself - could it be the most ideal nude palette? In the pan the shades and liner look very dark however as you can see on the swatches above the colours are very very sheer. If you prefer more intense colour, you can use these shades wet. The protective overlay gives you step by step on how to use this, however normally I'll use the base colour (1) all over my lids and then go through the crease with the golden colour (2), with a teeny bit of shine (4) in the brow bone. Then for a night time look, I'll add the dark colour (3) to smoke it up a bit. I've found that the ombre colour is also amazing as a liner - normally I'll use a denser angled brush than the brush which is provided in the kit. I've only used the liner brush from the kit as I don't want to get the sponge applicators dirty (girl problems) and I find that a fluffy blending brush works much better in picking the colour up.
I appreciate that £30 for a palette is expensive, however put it into the context of buying single high end shadows and the price soon adds up, so this isn't bad value. I'll be honest Dior is a brand I normally over look and all what I've previously tried from there is a lip gloss and their BB cream. After using this palette for near enough a month now, I have to admit I am very impressed with the brand and think a foundation is next on the list. Are you a fan of Dior make up?
