Illness mixed with stress, with a gallon of hair dye, with a dash of excessive heat has caused my hair to be in nothing short of a terrible condition. After getting a good few inches chopped off the old mane, and laying off the hair dye, my hair has been improving. If you are a regular reader of the blog, you will know that I am a fan of a leave in conditioner, however I’ve never used an oil as a conditioning treatment. Over the last few weeks I’ve been trying Old Wives Tail’s SOS Organic Anti-Hair Loss Oil Treatment which claims to soothe, moisturise and soften your scalp to prevent hair loss.

I wouldn’t say I suffer from hair loss, however as my hair is quite long, losing 2-3 hairs can appear that it looks like you’ve been scalped. As this treatment is completely organic, you know that this is not going to damage your hair. I’ve been putting this on 30-45 minutes before shampooing and I’ve seen a noticeable difference in the quality of my hair. My hair feels much stronger and there is less fall out when brushing – always a win. Also I find that after shampooing I don’t need to use conditioner – all what I use is a heat protection spray.

Normally I have found that the ends of my hair are quite fly away/frizzy and I’ve found that by putting extra oil onto the ends of my hair, this is a thing of the past. It needs to be noted that I only use a small amount of this on my hair so a little bit goes a very long way. Bit of a disclaimer also - the product is much darker in the pot - I've had to photoshop it to brighten it up.

If you want to win some Old Wives Tail products, they are currently running a competition – for more information check out this post.
