Smooch Cosmetics Bronzer in Light - £3.99 // Smooch Cosmetics Eye Shadow Duo in Seattle - £2.99 // W7 Light Diffusing Concealer - £2.99

Last Monday's post (link) saw me talking about the Beauty Outlet which has opened near me at Dalton park and obviously in the name of research I had to pick up a few things. As I'm still trying to master the art of highlighting and contouring, I thought a lighter matte bronze and a highlighter would be a good bet. I picked up W7's Light Diffusing Concealer in light as it reminds me of YSL Touche Eclat, and I have to admit it's a pretty good dupe. The coverage isn't that amazing and it's too light to be used as a concealer, but it works amazingly as a highlighter on your forehead, cheekbones and down the bridge of your nose. All what I would suggest is you keep it away from under your eyes.

If I'm honest with you, it was the Smooch Cosmetics which for me, was the best brand in the store. I remember Smooch Cosmetics been very popular not so long ago in the blogging community, then it kind of went under the radar. However as soon as I spotted their bronzers, I knew I had to get one for nights out. For £3.99 you get a sturdy case which reminds me of Nars packaging (and get it gets marks on just as easily), with a brush and a large mirror. What more do you want in a bronzer? There is more shades in the range and also some with highlighter embossed in and also some more shimmery bronzers. The shade I picked was the lightest of the bunch and also matte. However even though it looks dark in the pan, this is very light and for it to be quite noticeable on the skin, you do need to use a heavy hand.

This bronzer and the highlighting concealer are ideal for those who are wanting to get into contouring and are too worried to use more darker bronzers. Ironically the reason why this haul wasn't posted last week is due to the fact that I also bought Steph these for her birthday and couldn't post until she had received her presents. Last item I purchased was one of Smooch's eye shadow duos in Seattle - purely based on the fact that the taupe shade is a good dupe of my beloved Mac Satin Taupe, but with slightly more sheen. Don't be fooled by the dark gold shade, as this is very golden when swatched on the skin. For the price, these shadows blend so easily, the colour pay off is amazing and they last all day. Also the fact that you have a light and darker shade in the pan, instant smoky eye.

All in all, even though I could have wasted a lot more money, I was very restrained and only bought the three items, all three I would happily recommend to anyone. Next up on the list of things to try is a Smooch blush.
