Considering the first week of December is nearly over and done with, Christmas shopping still hasn’t started. Buying for the females in my family and friends are easy, however if in doubt, all what you need to do is look at the 1001 gift guides on people’s blogs and YouTube channels. However the age old question of what to buy the men in your life, well unless they ask for something specific, I’m completely stumped. If you have the same problem as me, read on..

Video Games
My brother, like many teenagers/early twenties adore playing games on their Xbox, portable thingies or on the PC. They’re always saving their money to buy the latest must-have adventure, so I thought that would giving them money, this would be an ideal gift from me. And because I don’t know Mario Kart from Final Fantasy, I opted for buying gift vouchers on-line. This saves the uncomfortable “I’ve already got this game” conversation.

The trend has moved away from earbud headphones, to something that wouldn’t look out of place on a helicopter pilot.  The idea is that they need to be noise cancelling, which sounds very appealing to me. There are hundreds to choose from, with price tags ranging from too cheap to re-mortgage level. I opted for two pairs headphones by Creative, which are very affordable and stylish Lads wear them constantly, while listening to music, watching movies or playing games. While this does make communicating with them problematic, think of the peace and quiet.

Watches are seen as a special gift signifying something special. It’s never easy choosing between all the different designs but as the men in my family are quite sporty, watches with chunky rubber straps, with back-lit, digital displays, which I ordered from Watches are an ideal present.

For those who enjoy biking, there are some great accessories available both practical and for fun. In order to provide a bit of humour on the morning cycle to work, how about buying a set of stick-on dog ears for his helmet. Trust me, everyone will love them. However if that’s not their cup of tea, how about a new Yakkay cycle helmet, which comes with a very cool hat cover.

Hopefully this post has helped to give you some ideas of what to buy your loved ones and nearest and dearest this Christmas.
