After a relaxing few days been back at the parents and four nights of uninterrupted sleep (hurrah), I've managed to come down with some sort of flu/cold/chill virus type thing and all what I want to do is sleep - not good considering I have to be at work tomorrow. For today's post I thought I would share with you my cold/flu saviours, and like Blue Peter - here's a photo I produced earlier (last time I had a cold I shared this on Instagram).
When I'm ill the first thing which suffers is my skin - it instantly dries out, so regardless of how I look, it's all about the hydration. Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser (review) has been my go to heavier moisturiser which I only use if I need to give my skin an extra boost. Even though the Rudolph look is apt at this time of year, I normally put lots of vaseline around my nose to prevent a red nose. As for my lips I switch between Medicated Chapstick and Nuxe Rive de Miel (review) depending on what is close by.
Antibac as always is a staple when anyone at work is ill and at home this is no exception, especially when you're sneezing everywhere. Finally you can't beat a good face mask to help detox your skin from all the moisturiser and lately Soap and Glory's No Clogs Allowed mask has been my go too. Plus as this heats up when its on your skin in a random kind of way helps you warm up when you have a chill. Finally vicks, lemsip and halls - cold and flu essentials in my home. What essentials do you swear by when you're suffering from the dreaded man flu, let me know.
