Lately I've been having some major hair issues - well not so much the hair itself but the water. After toning my ombre, my blonde is decent for literally one wash and then as soon as it touches the water of the ghetto it goes brassy and yellow. This doesn't happen if I wash my hair at the parents and considering we live a village apart, it has to be down the the water.

Over the last few weeks since getting my hair coloured I've been trying out Sebastian Professionals Color Ignite Shampoo and Conditioner - a range I've heard very little about. The range comes in two types - mono for hair which is dyed the one colour and multi for those who's hair is highlighted or like me has ombre (basically if your hair has more than one colour). I have to admit it's been good to test these items without having any preconceptions and if I'm honest I'm a bit on the fence about these.

I think the first thing which you will have noticed is the conditioner. It's in mousse form - I've never used a conditioner like this before. Basically you use this like any ordinary conditioner - however my gripe with this is that you can't control how much comes out, which leads to product waste. However the winner for me, has to be the shampoo. You can really see a difference when I don't use it - my hair is more bright and shiny and it does a good job of keeping the brassiness at bay. I should mention that the brassiness is still there, however I do think that it helps prevent it from getting worse.

All in all the shampoo is amazing and works equally as well with my other coloured conditioners. The conditioner on the other hand - I think due to the fact that too much comes out, I'm using too much conditioner than I really should be using. I think I need to work on my technique to get just the right amount.

On a side note, while browsing the Hairtrade website I've noticed that they have some excellent value hair gift sets on offer which would be ideal for last minute Christmas presents. Also check out their perfumes too - there's some real bargains to be had. I don't know whether the gift sets are available from their Metro Centre store, however as I'm there this weekend I'll check and update this.
