who_is_she_blog_2014_beauty_favourites
I've decided to go against doing a December favourites post, as if I'm honest with you, as the majority of the products which would be favourites you can see above. So without further ado, lets see what products I've consistently been loving throughout 2014.

First up bronzer and as much as I still love reaching for my Vivo Baked Bronzer, 2014 was the year I bought my first Nars products and their Laguna bronzer (review) definitely lives up to the hype. As dark as it looks in the pan, I can wear this both when tanned and au naturel when my skin is whiter than white. For the price, I think its worth it as a little goes a very long way, plus its completely matte - no shimmer at all. Keeping with the powder theme, I finally managed to get my hands on the Real Techniques Core Collection and as much as everyone raves about their buffing brush, for me the winner of the set has to be their contour brush. At the moment this is being used for blusher, however I use it for bronzer, highlight, powder, you name it I've used it.

In order to keep me looking half awake on a morning (well any time of the day) two products which are constants in my routine is Rimmel's Scandaleyes Pencil in Nude and Maybelline's Eraser Eye Concealer - I've got some reviews to come on these, but considering how cheap both of these are - they're worth the hype. As for the old scouse brow - Mac Mystery Eye Shadow is the perfect brown to fill my brows in with. Also on a random side note apparently this looks good with Club eye shadow from Mac too (not on your brows though).

Over the last year I think I've mainly discovered more hair related products, considering I've been a woman on a mission trying to get rid of any traces of red in my hair and have finally settled on a muted ombre, which is now turning into balayage. In order to keep my hair in as best condition possible I've been an avid user of Redken's Extreme CAT Protein Spray* and Label M's Blow Out Spray*,  both are worth the money and will definately continue to repuchase throughout 2014. More in depth reviews can be found here and here, Finally a new discovery towards the end of the year was the Co Lab Dry Shampoo range - as much as I love Paul Mitchell's invisible dry shampoo, I couldn't justify paying over £11 for a bottle of dry shampoo, so instead I have been reaching for Co Lab - exactly the same effects in your hair, no residue or white power and all for less than £3. What more could you ask for.

If you read my 2015 beauty goals, you will know that by the end of the year I want a proper skin care routine established. However 2014 for me was a year where I was flitting between brands and only a few products I could call favourites. First up Medicated Chapstick - I'm not going to bore you again with this, but this will always be my favourite lipbalm. As for skincare I've been reaching for Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser (review) which this has been amazing in getting moisture back into my skin. Ideally this is more of a colder weather moisturiser, however if at any time my skin feels dehydrated I'll reach for this and it works wonders. Finally a product which I have been putting off writing for some reason, however No7 Total Renewal Microdermabrasion Face Exfoliator has been a weekly staple when I am not fake tanned. Honestly I've always been a bit worried about trying products like this, however this removes any dead skin on my face. Also a cheeky little hint here, it works on getting stubborn fake tan stains off your knuckles.

Finally, maybe I've left the best til last - Tom Ford's Velvet Orchid.... insert heart eye emoji here. As much as I love Black Orchid, its been replaced by this during the day. Its not heavy enough for me for nights out, but never the less I love it. Phew that was a lot of rambling today, go reward yourself with some chocolate and a brew for getting to the end.
