Sometimes things are worth a second chance, crappy ex boyfriends, no, skin care - yes! I've had a travel sized bottle of Kiehl's Ultra Facial Toner and the larger bottle for well over a year now, and after using the travel sized bottle a few times, I'll be honest wasn't really impressed with and put them to the back of my vast skincare collection. As I was trialling another toner (post on that to come) and wasn't impressed, I decided to give this a go again instead of spending more money on another toner.I tell you something it's a good job I gave this a go, as I honestly can't rave enough about this.
As I've been quite run down and ill over the last month, my skin has been suffering; not with breakouts, but more on the dry side. Normally if my skin is dry, I normally skip toning my skin as I feel like this would normally add to the dryness, however the opposite is found with the Ultra Facial Toner - it actually hydrates my skin. I normally use two cotton pads with this and that's more than enough to cover my face and neck.
Unlike many other toners available, Kiehl's Ultra Facial Toner can be used on all skin types including sensitive skin, which I think is something which needs to be applauded. It also contains no alcohol, which many toners contain, and is the cause of making your skin feel dry. I've found that this provides an excellent base for any type of facial cream or serum, and to be honest with you I am so glad I gave this a second try as you can really see the benefits of this in my skin.
I'll also let you into another little spoiler - you may see this mentioned in March's favourites. I'm sensing a Kiehl's splurge is on the cards next month when I'm in Edinburgh, with the excuse I have gotten a new job and I need to treat myself - what items would you recommend?
