As much as I try to keep here as positive as possible, now and again certain products come along which to put it frankly I hate. If you are a regular reader of the blog you will know that I am a massive fan of Boots Botanics range and think its excellent value for money. I've already raved about their facial scrub (review here) and their Facial Oil (review here), however I am more than disappointed with the two products I'll be talking about today.

I love Micellar waters and if you are a regular reader of the blog, you will know that I've reviewed many. As Boots often has a third off on Botanics products I used this as an opportunity to pick up their All Bright Micellar 3 in 1 Cleansing Solution (£2.99 for 250ml) as a cheaper alternative to Garnier's version. If you've got eagle eyes, you will notice that I may have dropped a cotton bud into the bottle, which I couldn't be bothered to remove as once these photos had been taken the products have been binned. Personally I wouldn't even call his a micellar solution, as it doesn't even remove swatches on the back of your hand, let alone make up. All what this did was move the product around on my face. The only redeeming feature of this is the fact that it was very gentle on the skin - no stinging around my eyes which is a positive. Shame it didn't remove anything though.

In a bit to try and establish a proper skincare routine and mix and match high and low end products, I decided to buy their All Bright Cleansing Toner (£3.99 for 250ml). Again I was bitterly disappointed with this on the fact that this broke my skin out. At first I didn't know whether it was due to the fact that I was run down and my diet wasn't as good as it normally is. However after speaking to one of my friends, the same thing happened to her. I haven't used this since and I think in future I'll stick to my Kiehls Ultra Facial Toner which I am obsessed with (review here). Even though I am disappointed with these products, it won't stop me purchasing other items from the range. Maybe this is due to the fact that the first products I've tried from the range are firm favourites. What products do you love (or hate) from Botanics? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.
