The plan was to get this post written up on Thursday, but shock horror I've been ill yet again. Anyway March I'd say has been a month of new discovery favourites (with the exception of one) and a month where I have actually bothered to wear make up (one for the books there). First up is the only brush I've been using to apply my eye shadow and that is the Real Techniques Bold Metals 201 Pointed Crease*. Don't be put off by the size of this, as its the perfect size to apply crease colour, but also under your eyes as well. An amazing brush and for me is the stand out brush in the range (from what I've tried).

Over the last month I've tried to refrain from the fake tan (that failed), however a quick trip into Boots after the gym to get a prescription resulted in me picking up my next two favourites - Rimmel 60 Second Nail Polish in Breakfast in Bed and L'oreal's Infallible 24 Hour Matte Foundation. First up lets talk nail polish and the fact that I'm struggling to get a hold of another bottle of their Peppermint nail polish - it's always sold out. I initially spied this back in December on my friend Michelle's fingers and have always been meaning to pick it up, but could never be bothered. However as all the Rimmel polishes in the Rita Ora range were on offer for £1.99 it was a sign that I had to pick this up. I'd say this is lighter than peppermint, but still a beaut shade. However a word of warning with this, don't wear it with top coat as it really dulls the colour and makes it look dirty after a day.

I'm starting to embrace wearing foundations which match my natural whiter than white skin tone and L'Oreal's Infallible 24 Hour Matte Foundation in shade 11 Vanilla is a perfect match for my skin. I'd seen so many positive reviews about this, when it first launched and was trying not to buy into the hype. However as I'd been looking for a matte foundation and the fact that it was on a special introductory offer, I picked it up. Honestly this is amazing - I've got a full review on this coming shortly. As for skin care there's only been one stand out product and that's been the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Toner and I'm not going to sit and rave about this, as you can read all about that here.

The last two products have been recent rediscoveries - first up is NYX Xtreme Shine Lip Cream in XCL10 which is basically a liquid version of MAC Hue lipstick. This is seriously pigmented and lasts for hours on your lips - ideal for work. As NYX is more widely available in Next stores I would definitely recommend swatching this. Last up is my favourite product of the month - Illamasqua's Bronzing Duo in Glint/Solar* which I rediscovered when sorting my bronzers out. Honestly this is one of the best bronzers I have used to contour with. Normally I use this when on holiday as the lighter shade can be used as a highlighter the more tanned you become. It's not cheap at £26 however for two highly pigmented shades (also in a sturdy case with a huge mirror) I recommend having a look. I'll do a proper review with swatches on this soon. What products have you been loving in March?
