So this weekend marked mine and Tor's annual trip to London for IMATS and unlike previous years we decided to try and beat the rush first thing on the Saturday morning and go on the afternoon. Honestly the pair of us couldn't believe how hot London was, even at night. Onto IMATS itself - unlike previous years when I've been far too excited to go, this year I wasn't really bothered by it. I don't know if Beautycon has taken over as the main blogger beauty event, or maybe it was due to the fact that with work being that manic I hadn't really had the chance to get excited.

Like each year I always like to have a list of what I want to buy, as normally I will happily go wild and spend far too much money. I think both me and Tor were wanting to go mainly for Royal and Langnickel brushes as these are honestly some of the best make up brushes going (and super affordable) - we were lucky enough to be introduced to Justin who runs the social media side of things for the brand and allowed us to pick some make up brushes to try and review (a post of these will be coming soon). Apart from that, the only brands we were wanting to have a look at was Kryolan, Urban Decay and BeautyB Cosmetics.

As we weren't rushing about, we actually had time to look around all the stalls and watch the make up artists at work. I think following on from previous years brands have become more wiser and managed the crowds at stands better (and had bigger stands). However the staff at BeautyB Cosmetics were quite rude when you were walking past trying to see what products were on the stand before deciding whether to queue. Obviously we gave that queue a miss and I'll probably just order Milani direct from their website.

Another year, another fab time in London, my feet are sore, I'm tired, however roll on next year. I'll try and get my small haul up in the next week or two with some first impressions. However for once I was quite well behaved when it came to what I purchased, which I think is one for the books. Although I may have just done a £200 Topshop order... I'll never learn. Did any of you go to IMATS? What did you buy?
