Apologies in the slight delay in the monthly favourites going live, I've been that manic with work all what I've been doing is going to the gym after work and then sleeping. Anyway throughout June it's been a bit of a mixed bag of what I've been liking. Some days I can be bothered, some days I can't. However one product which I've constantly been reaching for is Nars Creamy Concealer in Vanilla to hide a multitude of sins first thing on a morning. I find that this high coverage, easy blendable concealer the only thing to hide my black circles under my eyes. Normally I set this with a bit of powder and jobs a good un.
This month I rediscovered two old favourites - Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb a scent which reminds me of my younger days (and was a present from Holly for being her bridesmaid) and Atrixo Enriched Hand Cream* which I used to swear by to keep my hands moisturised while working in retail. Believe it or not I own about five different spoolies for my brows and the only brush I will use on my brows is this old mascara wand from Collection. I honestly think it has something to do with the shape of the brush compared to traditional spoolies. Nothing else beats this.
If you saw my review last month about Nailbox (review here) you will have seen me mention Nicole by OPI in Alex by the Books, an amazing mint green shade. I've been constantly wearing this on my toes over the last month and it's really made me feel summery. If you want to buy the shade by itself I've since found it in my local make up discount store for £3.99. As the weather over the last few weeks in the North East has been roasting, I've been having more showers than baths and everytime I shower I have to reach for Bodhi and Birch's Mint The* shower gel. If you're suffering from a blocked nose or want something to wake you up first thing on a morning this is the shower gel for you. Honestly a little bit goes a long way and the scent lingers on your skin for hours afterwards. Definitely recommend checking out Bodhi and Birch.
I've let my skincare routine go lately and my skin is starting to show the effects of this - if in doubt I always reach for Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum. If you've seen my previous post on this (here) I couldn't actually tell you what this does to the skin, but my skin does look better after using it. I have mentioned that this isn't a product I'd repurchase however it has had benefits on my skin. Finally if you are a regular reader of the blog you will know how much of a fan of multi use products and throughout June I've been reaching for MeMeMe Shimmer Stack* in bronze. This can be used separately as a highlighter, bronzer or eye shadow, however I normally use this as a bronze blush to make me look half awake on a morning. This is a fab dupe for Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick for a fraction of the price. What products have you been loving in June?
