If anyone cares to tell me where July has gone too I'd appreciate it and also why it's taken me nine days to get this post written up. I honestly feel like once again work has completely and utterly taken over my life - fingers crossed I can get some posts written up when I've finally gotten some time off next week. Anyway July was supposed to be a month of not spending any money on beauty things however with IMATS and a cheeky American beauty haul thanks to Michelle - far too much money was spent. Hands down my favourite product of the month has to be my Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown. All my other brow products can quite frankly go and do one now that this cult product is finally in my life. Honestly this is amazing - the colour is a perfect match for me and my brows actually look natural (for once). I can't rave about this enough.
As for skin care I've decided to start and work my way through products I've already got. First up is Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel - again another cult product in the blogging community, which I've had tucked away for months. Look how much I've used in just under a month - this makes your skin feel cleaner than clean and easily removes all traces of make up on my face. Another discovery is Kiehls Rosa Arctica, which I have been using religiously every night. Even though I have been getting the odd spot over the month, these two products have worked wonders on my skin. My skin looks dare I say it.... glowing.
Moving onto hair I'd picked up L'Oreal Pure Colour Shampoo on a whim in Tesco when it was on offer. I wasn't expecting much from this, however this has been the first volumising shampoo which has actually given my hair some volume. I've got a post on this coming up soon, however if you can get your hands on this when it's on offer - it's worth it. Essence Lash Base mascara was mentioned to me sometime last year as a fab drugstore lash primer and I can definitely vouch for that. I've been reaching for this every day and I honestly can't believe how long my lashes actually are. Also, the fact that it's only £2.50 makes it even better. I need to try some more things from the range.
One of the products I'd asked Michelle to get me from America was Milani Baked Blusher in 05 Luminoso, however she couldn't get me one. However lucky for me, my sister from another mister Jen actually had this blush - didn't like it and sent it to me. I'm a massive fan of baked blushes and this light peach shade looks as amazing on natural skin as it does tanned. As much as this swatches heavily, when you apply it with a brush, it actually goes on the skin quite sheer - however the colour is buildable. Finally the brush I've been using to apply this with is Royal and Langnickel Revolution brush in BX-05* - this is the only brush from the range which I had to hand, however I've got a more in depth post to do on these brushes. All what I will say as a little teaser is the fact that this these are professional quality on a budget. What products have you been loving lately?
