This weekend has mainly been spent sorting out my sample drawer - yes I have a sample drawer. A drawer where items are kept purely for "travelling" or "saving them for travelling". It's getting to the stage now where the drawer (one of the larger ones in my Ikea Alex) is struggling to shut its that full. So by going through everything and having a good clear out, as well as taking things out to use, I thought I would share with you my favourite travel sized toners.
When it comes to skin care, I find that travel sized products are the best way to try out new products and/or brands without having to commit to full sized products. There's nothing worse than buying a full sized product and it not agreeing with your skin. Hands down my two favourites are Kiehls Ultra Facial Toner and Benefit's Moisture Prep Toning Lotion - regardless of how temperamental my skin is, these two toners won't ever irritate or dry out my skin. If you have sensitive skin, I'd also recommend these to you,
If you want to fully pamper yourself and have a spa treatment experience while staying in a travelodge I'd recommend ESPA's Hydrating Floral Spafresh toner - although a word of warning this has a overpowering floral scent which may put some people off. Personally I don't mind this - however as much as it says it's hydrating I find that it slightly dries my skin out. Normally I'd use this if I feel like my skin is grimy and oily and this balances it out. I've also decanted this into a spray bottle and use this as a mist while travelling in the summer.
If you are a fan of natural organic products, look no further than Oh! Organics Melissa Toner or Melvita Rose Floral Water. Both do a fab job of hydrating the skin and unlike the other toners which I've mentioned come in a spray bottle. As I'm not a fan of rose scented items I prefer to reach for the Melissa toner over the Melvita toner. However the rose scent only lasts for a few seconds before vanishing and it's not a strong scent anyway. Are you a fan of travel sized items or do you find them to be a waste of money, let me know in the comments below.
