Ahhh Valentines Smalentines - no time for that. Anyway as today is the day of love apparently, what better excuse to treat the most special and important person in your life (that's you by the way). If you want to well and truly treat yourself there's only one brand you need to go too - Jo Malone. Last year I finally made my first Jo Malone purchase of Pomegranate Noir and since then I've developed quite the love affair with the brand.
I've had these little miniatures sat in the sample drawer since Christmas after receiving them in one of her Christmas Crackers, however in order for a pick me up from the dreaded man flu these made an appearance. Obviously Jo Malone comes with a hefty price tag and I think these sample sizes are the best way to test the brand without committing to a full size product. Before buying Pomegranate Noir, I was debating whether to buy Peony and Blush Suede instead, however having the strongly scented body creme I've been seeing how I feel towards this throughout the day. At the moment it's still a winner, so I think we know what my next fragrance will be.
Again Lime, Basil and Mandarin is another cult scent which many people rave about and if I'm honest it's a scent which I'm not keen on. I don't know what it is, however after washing my hands with this Body and Hand Wash, I find that I'm rinsing my hands to get rid of the scent. One major positive of this though is that my skin feels super soft after using it. This in the right scent will be divine. Finally I wish all Jo Malone fragrances came in these little travel bottles - Blackberry and Bay is a fragrance which when I initially smelt this, I hated - couldn't stand it. However once on the skin and after a few minutes this is a beautiful light fruity fragrance which has some serious staying power.
Even though you don't need a day in the year to love yourself or to tell someone you love them, take today as an opportunity to treat yourself. Plus as the queen herself RuPaul says - "If you can't love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else".
